Not-for-Profit
AW License ID# 10984 We are a non-profit shelter for cats & dogs, open to the public by appt. All the proceeds go directly back into the program-we are NOT a charity and make a profit. Our main purpose is a spay/neuter program to help control the pet population and to help out people who cannot afford the cost. We rescue abandoned, stray, helpless and unwanted cats, spay/neuter, get them healthy with all shots-- then try to find them homes. As a result our dog and mostly cat population is always growing. We are in the cat adoption room at Petsmart on N. Prospect in Champaign every alternate month of the year-Jan, March, May, July, Sept, Nov. We need cat lovers to help feed, clean and love the cats and kittens all you want. Also show them to propective pet parents & help them find a home. You can help clean any morning or evening 7 days a week--it takes about 1 to 2 hours....OR.. come in and show the cats only- during busy times of the store, weekends, or special adoptathons. Bring a friend along or parents can bring their children to help (must be over 12 yrs old to help in the cat room at Petsmart--they can be younger at the special events). Even if you only have an hour or two---the cats and babies will love you-they get so bored locked up in the cages.
We also need help updating our brochure, and volunteers to help with phone calls and fundraising. A photographer to keep the website photos current.
